It is like painting a canvas of oneself: if one practises on becoming healthy, one will become healthy; if one practises on letting go of tension and being relaxed, one will become softer; if one practises on letting go of negative thoughts and habits, one will become optimistic and constructive. At the same time, one is fully conscious this practice is not like swallowing a pill: it will take many hours of practice in order to reap the benefits of this art.
The more I practise t’ai chi, the deeper I discover its aspects, the richer its possibilities. To do it is to discover it anew, and to discover it is to penetrate its layers. By embodying its principles, I endeavour to manage my well being in connection with the universal harmony. In my practising experience, t’ai chi has become artistically and emotionally persuasive that I find a new will, a wish to do it, and to pursue it.
